Doing a bit of a London-spesh this week because I’ve suddenly discovered loads of new places I just needed to get down on paper.
I’ve tried to show variation of location - East, Central and West - so there’s something for everyone, but if you’re anything like me, I will happily travel a solid hour for good food. Am I right?
Dumbo, Shoreditch
Paris’ iconic smash burger joint is coming to London, and everyone is buzzing about it, including me.
Their menu might be the simplest yet. Choose between a cheese burger or earth burger, adding twice cooked French fries. And that’s it.

Layered like a fancy maccies (but let’s be honest, far better quality and no nasty back stories) these smash burgers are made from dry aged beef, American cheese, with onion, pickles + ketchup and mustard.
There’s no mention whether the London menu will be following in Paris’ footsteps, but I do like when a restaurant decides its thing, and does it well.

Keep your eyes peeled for their grand opening on Brick Lane this June.
Decimo, Kings Cross
Hotel restaurants can sometimes be a little hit and miss, but I have heard SO many good things about Decimo, found on the 10th floor of The Standard.
Headed up by Michelin-starred Chef Peter Sanchez-Iglesias, the menu is full to the brim with Spanish cuisine, also inspired by Peter’s love of Mexico. And don’t get me started about the interiors in this place - exquisite.

The hardest thing is what to choose; from tacos, tortillas and tostadas up top, to the choice of four types of meat (all open fire cooking), five types of fish, plus flavour packed veggie dishes, sides and salads. I think the key is to arrive hungry.

Wildly, their opening times stretch to as late as 2am on Friday and Saturdays, with their ‘Sobremsa’ menu post 10:30pm, which allows diners (and drinkers) to hang out post dinner with Spanish style nibbles that include tacos and the choice of six delicious desserts.

Rabbit, Chelsea
I’m not often this neck of the woods, but I found myself on the King’s Road at possibly the busiest time in the Chelsea calendar - Chelsea in Bloom.
Don’t get me wrong, I love flowers, I love nature, but what I do not love is navigating everyone’s mum and auntie getting selfies with every shopfront with a flower display. Spoiler… that’s every single shop during the Chelsea Flower Week.

Amongst navigating the chaos, a pretty green beacon stood out - Rabbit. Drawn in by the name (I’ve had four rabbits over the years), and it’s soft green painted exteriors, I had to look it up.
What I found was a farm-to-fork style British Bistro, with a great choice of menus. Whether it’s a themed meal for almost celebrated calendar date, a Sunday Roast or a set lunchtime menu, there’s a lot on offer.

Roasts are reasonably priced for this part of town, and meat sustainably sourced from their bio-dynamic farms, with choice of Lyons Hill Beef Sirloin, Dorset Lamb Leg, Rotisserie Chicken or Mushroom Wellington.
To keep the price down even more, choose the set menu at lunch and enjoy two courses for just £22. Just avoid ordering the rabbit, for me eh?
